Call for nominations for the Board of Directors
2020
The Association has two board positions to be filled in 2020. These positions are open to “qualified" homeowners. Those elected will serve terms lasting three years.
Section 5.2 of the Bylaws (found at GOVERNANCE:GOVERNING DOCUMENTS on this website) states that a "qualified" homeowner is one who is an owner of record; not deliquent in payment of assessments; and not in default of compliance with any requirements stated in the Bylaws, CC&Rs, or Articles of Incorporation.
Board members play a participatory role by attending board meetings, being knowledgeable about board issues, and discussing and voting on such issues. They are expected to understand, abide by, and enforce the rules and regulations as stated in the CC&Rs and Bylaws. Directors have fiduciary responsibilities as trustees of the Association and must place the interests of the Association above their own.
The deadline for responding to this call for nominations is noon on January 25. Ballots will be mailed no later than February 16 and will be counted on Sunday, March 18. The Association's bylaws state all voting will be by secret ballot. Pursuant to ARS 33-1250:C;6, the ballot envelope must contain the name, address, and signature of the voter.
All ballots (whether cast by mail or in person) must be received by 1:30 p.m. on March 18; there will be a ballot box marked BALLOTS in the park ramada at 1 p.m. for those ballots cast in person.
The annual meeting begins at 2 p.m on March 18.
The members of the nominating committee are Julia Kerrigan and Pat Falduto.
